Class information – introduction

Here you’ll find brief profiles of the kinds of classes currently available at Luna International. Not all classes are ‘open’ to new students. The information presented here is intended to help you find the kind of learning environment you/your children are looking for.

We take a lot of care to meet the needs of our students whilst maintaining our own goals & standards at Luna International as a serious language school. Each class is unique, progressing at it’s own pace. Small class sizes allow personalities to be expressed & cross-cultural bonds to be made. Our experienced, qualified teachers direct learning in a low-key but professional manner; regular meetings with Jim ensure that the overall direction of the learning is progressing suitably. These meetings provide an excellent forum for feedback too, where any comments made by students or parents can be discussed and acted upon promptly.

For reasons of privacy ( see Privacy Statement) we do not identify individual students, nor the location of classes that are taught outside of Luna International’s premises. Luna International does provide “in-house” classes, which can be arranged to suit you. Often we find a group of friends want to study together – and why not?! We will come to you. Will we come to your house? Call us & ask!

To observe any class – with no obligation whatsoever – please contact us to make an appointment. We encourage kids to ‘join in’ when they observe, as it helps the teacher assess the abilities of the observer and ‘place’ his/her level.

When possible we like to interview prospective new students before you observe a class, as with years of experience level checking we will be able to ‘place’ you in the most suitable class. Don’t worry, this is not a test!

Luna International also offers Special Classes. You will not find examples of these on this website because they are literally ‘one-offs’. If you have a particular English language learning that cannot be met be a ‘conventional’ class, we will arrange something tailored to your requirements. For example;

• Short-term, intensive classes before work or travel overseas.
• Examination preparation
• Speech preparation, proof-reading & PowerPoint presentations
• English for Special Purposes – what/how do you need to learn?
